Just had an incredible dining experience at Alegria, a Filipino-South American fusion restaurant in a fancy setting! 🍽️✨ We indulged in a tantalizing 7-course meal paired with 4 fabulous cocktails. 🥂🍴 While I'm not too familiar with Filipino cuisine, Alegria truly impressed me with their outstanding flavors and stunning presentation. It was a feast for the senses! 😋🎉 However, I must admit that the cocktail pairing felt a bit disconnected. They didn't quite match the theme of each dish, but hey, they still tasted amazing! 🍹

Went here for the lunch set with friends. We were four so we got two sets and got to try nearly everything. Standout dish is the Kurobuta tomahawk. In second place is the Elote followed by the Pulpo. The elote using furikake is a welcome surprise as it really elevated the dish. As to the Pulpo, it was cooked well. Desserts were good. The cheesecake and its accompanying sauce worked well together. We managed to get the Buko Pandan because the supirito was not available. I would come back for the lunch set.

We had Alegria MNL’s ‘transcultural’ 7-course tasting menu and ordered separate cocktails :) - Smoked Eggplant, Oscietro Caviar, Sundried Tomatoes, Yolk Drops - Chicken Sphero, Chicken Chawanmushi, Chicken Flax Tostada - Cassava & Prawn “Satti” - Tanigue, Blood Cup, Ikura, Aji Amarillo - Aged Comte, Goat Cheese, & Raclette Muscovado, Flour Tortilla, Salsa Molcojete - Mango, Apricot, Chamoy & Pecorino (Palate cleanser and it’s so good!) - Hokkaido Scallop, Heart of Palm, Salmuera, Chicha De Jora & Prawn Head Broth (House Corn & Kombu Caviar) — this is too salty for me - A4 Wagyu Carpaccio, Adlai, Smoked Tripe, Enoki, Shallot, Bone Marrow - Iberico Pork, Salsa Vera Cruz, Horchata, Kale Chicharron, Quinoa, Red Pepper & Corn Sabayon (use the ‘balisong’ to cut the pork 😊) - Grilled Pineapple (Fave reveal of the night! ✨) Ordered separate cocktails: - Mango Inc (Get this! This is really good!) - Sinigang (inspired cocktail) It was an amazing dining experience! Note: We were advised that the 7-course tasting menu is not available every Fri Sat so ask them first before paying a non-refundable reservation fee if 1k per pax.

We had dinner at Alegria on 02/14, Valentine's Day. We were seated late because most of the customers from the first seating were still inside. We just had to be understanding because they can't kick those people out, right? Despite the situation, we were given complimentary drinks (gin and tonic). When we were finally seated, we immediately love the atmosphere and we were greeted with quite possibly the best service you can ask for. Once our food started to arrive, the servers would explain what each dish is and share how to best eat it. No to mention, these also included a variety of drinks that paired nicely with the food. Overall, it was a great dining experience that my wife and I had. Both of us came out of Alegria appreciating the different ways that we can enjoy everyday ingredients such as the pickled kamias. We knew that we were eating was made out of quality ingredients and by passionate chefs. We will be back again soon.

It truly lives up to its name ‘Alegria’, from the décor to the dishes served, one could feel joy emancipate from within. The Filipino-Latin American fusion was flawless, the burst of flavors unexpected but totally delightful! Was surprised to learn this fine dining establishment opened less than 4 months ago but they already seem so polished. I recommend going for the full course menu with wine-pairing to get the complete culinary experience. Choose the second sitting so that you will not be pressed for time but be prepared to finish late.

We’ve tried a lot of tasting menus both in Manila and abroad so there’s a lot to compare Alegria too. First of all, they’re very competitively priced because their 7 course meal is only at Php 3500. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. The cocktails weren’t that great. In terms of the appetizers, there was only one stand out dish - the sinuglaw. For the mains, the squid ink rice was good but nothing mind blowing. Some desserts were yummy but there were also others that could be improved. The ambience and interiors of the place were really great though and the service was pretty good.

A Michelin Star Waiting to Happen I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alegria and that left me utterly mesmerized, truly deserving of a Michelin star. This culinary gem offered a 14-course menu that was a symphony of both visual and gastronomic delight. The dishes were nothing short of art on a plate. The intricate presentation of each course was a testament to the chef's creative genius. Yet, what made this experience exceptional was the perfect harmony between complexity and simplicity in flavors. Each dish managed to balance an array of ingredients, creating an intricate dance on the palate, while remaining true to its core flavors. The sequence of courses was meticulously planned, taking diners on a journey of the senses. From delicate appetizers that awakened the taste buds to the hearty and comforting main courses, the progression was a work of culinary mastery. It invited us to explore and appreciate a wide spectrum of flavors, textures, and aromas, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about every aspect of the meal. Their recommendations and explanations elevated the experience. I can't wait to return and witness the next creation of the chef and their dedicated staff. Dining at this establishment was a culinary journey that I will cherish, and I have no doubt that a Michelin star is awaiting its rightful place here.
